I am an international student in UCI.
I am going to finish my course this month and I will leave here in March.
Before I leave here, I want to learn surfing.
But I worry about if I can do that even in winter or not.
Please give me the advice about what I shoud do.|||You have plenty of options for lessons right close in Huntington Beach all year long. This time of year is good because the classes are small. If you want a private lesson that will work as well. Just show up and the school will provide you with everything you need.
I recommend using a National Surf Schools and Instructors Association accredited school or at the least a certified instructor. There are many around for you to select from. Go on their web site and just email when your are ready. If you can't afford a lesson from a pro-instructor, try the surf club at your school. They have programs for beginners as well.
You shouldn't need more that a couple of lessons spread apart to get everything you need from board safety to etiquette.|||Some surf schools off of google http://www.google.com/search?q=orange+co鈥?/a>
Or just find your closest surf shop and ask them. They will either provide lessons or know who will. Your only other option would be to find some friends who surf and have them take you out. That would probably be the most fun if you can only go once. The upside to a surf lessons is they provide you with all the gear and most places guarantee to have you standing on your first lesson, although "standing" is a pretty loose definition.

Surfing lessons can shorten your learning curve, keep you safe, and teach you the right way to approach surfing as a beginner.
