What time is best to go surfing at dania beach,fl?

I live in hollywood beach and dania beach i heard is a surfing beach so i was asking is there a certain time or tide thats good to surf there or is ft lauderdale or hollywood beach better?(i have a 7,4ft and a shortboard)which better?|||I would say that winter is the best suring time of the year. I know the none of us want to hear that but it's true. You're board sounds great.|||Other than right now being an exception... maybe... The surfing there is a waste of time. The bottom is flat and goes for at least a quarter mile off the shore with the depth being no less then 4-5 ft. I have only seen the surf go over 2 ft a handful of times and it always turned out to be a complete blow over every time. Maybe because it is due to the Bahamas being right there, the only thing you will get are lousy wind swells; none the less from your choice it would be the 7'4", but I wouldn't bother surfing here; so in my opinion I wouldn't choose anything.

My uncle has a place in Hallandale being only a few hours away I love to come here and visit very frequently. Usually surf in Cocoa and New Smyrna.
