What would influence your surfing speed on internet?

I am using a wireless modem at home. I have 2 laptops and 1 desktop.The desktop is always slower than the laptops when surfing on internet, why?|||Your internet provider and the plan you bought is what determines your internet speed the most. However, maybe it is time for a new computer, or a reformat, as the computer hardware just may not be up to snuff or the hard drive has too much clutter (too many internet explorer plugins, too many start up programs)|||it depends on the speed of your network card your laptops most likely have faster conection than your desktop but you can upgrade your desktop easily with a later card available from most electronic shops or computer suppliers for around fifty to a hundred dollars
