Recently I figured out that when I'm surfing the net (with Firefox), my internet speed is ~150KB, but when I want to download a file (with IDM), It's exactly 63KB.
Is it possible that ISP could limit my speed when downloading and not when I'm surfing?
and If yes, then is there a way to somehow not let the ISP to find out the difference?|||Why would your ISP want to limit your speed at any time?
You have paid (I assume you have) for a connection up to a certain speed. so thats what you''ll get
The ISP dont care what you are doing|||An ISP has full control over your Internet, so yes they can change your speeds.
And no, there is no way you can hide from them.
They will always know when you are downloading and surfing even from anonymous proxies.
Call your ISP and tell them you want faster internet.
