How to ban any site on a computer to protect from surfing to others?

I want to ban sites on computers of my college to protect from surfing to others.... What I do for That..............


Help me..........|||Easy / Cheap way -





Open


C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts





IN the blank area at bottom, enter, a line at a time, entries like this:





127.0.0.1 www.site-to-block.com


127.0.0.1 another-site-to-block.com





Then save it. This will block any site you list, but only by the name exactly type in.


127.0.0.1 myspace.com


will not block "www.myspace.com". you'll have to make two entries to block it by both names.|||i would like to ban THIS ******* site!!








HABBO.com!





it gives my pc some viruses that destroyed my files!

|||the free software k9 web protector is awesome, it's impossible to get around unless you have the password, once you set it up choose to select manual sites to block, the sites you pick wont come up, ie like porn or face book or any TYPE of sites you wish to bar, although you cannot choose individual sites only sites with the stuff you want to bar, unlike other software like this, it wont interfere with normal web surfing.
