What supporting ideas would you write about to prove that surfing is a culture?

I'm thinking about their language, music, and clothing, but I can't write much about it. Another idea is their values, their rituals, their life style...


What else would you suggest to support the idea that surfing is a culture?|||You could talk about how they migrate. Surfers move around often hitting the best surfing spots and often meet up with people they've known at previous places at new ones. They have their own clique within the larger society but are definitely a sub-culture much like you find various sub-cultures in a common high school.





1. Language - this is a big one


2. Rituals - care for their boards, when they go surfing, where they go to surf


3. Migration patterns


4. Life style - where do they live? beach condos, crash with friends, on the beach literally, etc


5. Style - clothing, hair, tan vs no tan, etc.
