How do I set my Utorrent client to speed up my internet surfing?

My internet becomes very slow when I put on a couple of downloads on Utorrent..

How do i change that?

Can I change something in preferences to make my internet surfing more enjoyable?|||If you limit your upload in uTorrent to 80% of your overall upload capacity, then you should have no issues surfing. This article on setting uTorrent up for best speeds (limiting upload also helps download speed in uTorrent) has more info and links to help:

http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/鈥?/a>|||Within uTorrent, go to the 'Options' menu, then 'Preferences' and click 'Scheduler'. This will allow you to control when the torrents are downloading: set the schedule to 'off' when you're working and for full speed at night, then just leave your PC on to do the download. This also lets you specify how much bandwidth you want it to use at restricted times of day when you're using the PC.

Let it work overnight and when you wake up your downloads should be done - your internet performance doesn't suffer when you need it. As an added bonus, many internet service providers don't coun't the quiet night-time hours in your quota so you are less likely to hit usage caps.
