please help I need ideas!|||Wax: different types, how to wax a board, base coat vs. top coat, dif. temperature formulas.
Wetsuits: thicknesses, front vs. back zipper.
Leashes: length of board and length of leash.
Different forms of paddling through a wave: duck diving, turtle roll etc.
Breaks: beach, point etc, how they form.
Different types of boards: long vs. short, epoxy vs. fiberglass.
Surf lingo and culture.
Hope that helps.|||You could also break into how surfing inspired the first skateboarding as well like the whole dogtown z boys thing, but try and get maybe a little more into it than that. You could also go into the various possible places where surfing first started. Everyone thinks Hawaii, but I know surfers journal in one of their recent issues argued that point a bit. There are numerous people you could mention who brought different aspects to surfing and changed it in different ways. Talk about where the surfing industry started and where it has come to now and where it might go. The topic has been covered to death should be no shortage of info.
