Surfing...?

I've always wanted to surf, and i want to learn this summer, but im not sure how i should start out. what do i need to just try it?|||Sign up for a surf lesson at your local surf shop- or a couple of lessons. In the summer you usually won't need a wetsuit and the surf schools/instructors usually provide the beginners boards. Once you decide it is for you then you can shop for a board- recommend buying a used one as your needs will change as you improve. For younger set there are many surf camps around that have one week sessions. A knowledgeable instructor will teach you the basics and have you standing at the end of two hour lesson. We just went through this with my husband and daughter in the last year... and now have 4 boards in the garage. Happy surfing!|||see howisthesurf.com

|||You will need to sign up for a surf school or find an other qualified person to teach you. Surfing is actually pretty easy and you'll be amazed how fast you'll get it. Just remeber basics and listen o the instructor. Watch out for chaifing and marine life. But Have Fun! Good Luck. Surfing is ultra-cool.|||Waves are small if any in the summertime. Research spots on wannasurf.com Go to an easy place in your area and paddle out on a 7-8 foot board that you can rent from your local shop. Get past the broken whitewater waves to where the swells are forming. Watch other people and then do what they do. Try not to get in anyone's way and have fun.|||surfing is the BEST thing ever! if you want to get started, look up a surf school were you can get lessons and they can reccomend the best board for you and all the other needs. once you start you are going to really like it.
