What are the biggest differences between Surfing and Snowboarding?

I have been surfing for like 5 years and thinking about picking up snowboarding but wanted to know what i need to know, as with steering, can i whip a snowboard like i can my surfboard and that sort of things|||there aren't a lot of similarities (I do both). the medium (snow vs water) is very different and the principles used to turn are different. You'll still probably pick it up pretty quick and like it though. eventually you'll be able to whip your board around, but it'll feel foreign at first|||just going down a slope is like surfing in slow motion, but in a half pipe try blowing the top off instead of catching air, just like a tail slide or snap turn in surfing, it feels exactly the same.

|||surfing and snowboarding are pretty much the same! you could probably pick it up pretty fast, just practice balance and switching your weight from toe to heel, i suggest that you get lesson first don't try to learn it. it takes way more time to learn if you teach yourself |||i surfed before i snowboarded and theyre a little similar but since your strapped in snowboarding they feel different but it is easier to learn snowboarding having surfed

|||Snow boards don't have skegs, so I think steering is more like a skateboard. I have several friends who are surfers but love to go snow boarding at least once a year.
