Need to buy a new digital camera that will take great action photos for surfing?

I'd like something that can take quick snap photos, that's a digital camera good for action stuff (surfing, soccer, etc).





I'd liking something that could fit in my purse, and costs $400 or less.|||I would look at the Canon Powershot S5 IS. It's a very capable camera. It captures images fast enough to deal with you action requirements. It's an 8Mp camera which is more than most people ever need. The requirement that it fit in your purse is a little questionable with this camera, but, most that will fit in a purse aren't worth a darn for action shots anyway. They are just too slow to capture the image when everything is moving. Unless of course, you cut the image size and resolution to the point of not having a decent printable image. The S5 IS avoids that problem at a very reasonable price for the camera you are getting.
